DCCV

Controller DC-CV is a standalone board, not rackmounted, that takes USB power and creates Eurorack-compatible four channel DC offsets. Designed originally to help live performance and move some precise knobs out of your rack into an easier to handle box (assuming a few meters of patch cable). This design could make +/- 5V control voltages, and is tuned for +/- 1V voltages to serve the LZX Video Synth crowd.

Each channel has a switch to select a bipolar or unipolar output.

The 1V range fully controls video modules, and this device is intended to help you perform with your Eurorack system by pulling critical parameters out of the patch cable morass and onto your desk or handed off to a partner without getting in the way. Just add four long mono ts patch cables.

Beta tested with some LZX equipment and found NO discernible noise, so I’m excited to have a hand-held fader-box to drive otherwise complicated eurorack patches.

The first edition works really well. It can be configured for 1V or 3V ranges. PCB Suits a Zener Ref if you’re into that vs trimmers. Kits come with resistors for both +/-1V and +/-3V ranges.

3D Printed Frames. Should be included with your PCBs, but if you need another one, here’s the digital schematics. Three STL files for download. The Ring is the infrastructure binding both layers, the fader base helps elevate the faders, you’ll want two. The file fader_slot file is for the v1.0 front panel with too-wide fader slots, this insert tightens things up. Not always necessary.
